Ancient site — Palaeopoli, near the Sanctuary
A short walk from the Sanctuary of the Great Gods, the ancient theatre at Palaiopolis dates to the Hellenistic period and once hosted performances and ceremonies tied to the sanctuary's religious life.
Much of it lies in ruins today, but the semi-circular seating layout is still traceable in the stone, and the setting — weathered foundations set into the island's landscape — makes it worth the short detour if you're already visiting the Sanctuary or the Archaeological Museum next door.
